ANAHEIM, CA – May 12, 2015 – Association of Woodworking & Furnishings Suppliers® (AWFS®) welcomed Michael Fabbri, national sales manager, with King Plastic Corporation and Jamie Goodwin, most recently serving as western channel manager, for Accuride International, as the newest additions to their Board of Directors at the Woodworking Industry Conference (WIC) held April 21 -24th, in San Antonio, Texas. Both new members were appointed following the departures of former board members, Ed Fiantaca, formerly with Accurate Technologies and Gene Valcke previously with Hanes Industries.

Now in his twentieth year with Accuride, Jamie Goodwin has three years of prior experience working on the AWFS Trade Show Committee and was responsible for bringing the Belt Sander Racing Association (BSRA) competition to AWFS®Fair in 2007. The event’s popularity consistently drew standing-room-only crowds through the 2013 show. Jamie is looking forward to working closely once more with AWFS stating, “I am excited to be working on this board and look forward to utilizing my experience in helping AWFS advance its mission of strengthening the woodworking industry through its programs in education, its commitment to public policy and the production of its biennial Fair in Las Vegas.\”

Michael Fabbri oversees all of King Plastic’s products in North America and Europe in the marine, architectural and industrial industries and is eager to lend his expertise in helping AWFS reach out to this segment of the marketplace during their biennial trade show in Las Vegas. According to Michael, “Being new to the board and invited to promote the plastic industry to the woodworking community is a great opportunity for King Plastic Corporation and the plastic industry. We will help educate AWFS members on a variety of plastic materials and how they will interact in the woodworking community.”

AWFS president and western region sales manager from AURAUCO, North America, added the following, “I want to give special thanks to Ed Fiantaca and Gene Valcke for their invaluable contribution and time spent as members of our Board. That said, I also look forward to the new viewpoints and knowledge that Michael and Jamie will bring to the Association.”
